The name belies the menu at this cozy spot on Duckworth Street where you can get excellent food for any meal of the day. Generous breakfast offerings bring local ingredients to traditional dishes. The with eclectic decor and soft lighting, the atmosphere is both relaxed and intimate.

With signature dishes like Atlantic lobster tail and New Zealand lamb, this is the perfect place to relax with friends and enjoy a great meal. Go for one of the Mexican quesadillas, served with hash browns and salsa, or opt for the Belgian waffles, served with sausage, bacon or ham.

Had breakfast here twice during our week in St. John's, and it was worth it!. So many options, and the fact that they can serve most options gluten-free (i.e. on a gluten-free bagel) was great. Unfortunately, they do not have a dedicated deep-fryer, so I wasn't able to get any of the unhealthy stuff that everyone else had, but that's okay...I appreciated the fruit substitution for the hash browns!

The menu isn’t the most vegan-friendly in the world, but you will find some things here if your omni-friends want to dine here.

Though nothing spectacular, The Bagel Cafe is a cute and eclectic restaurant that’s perfect for breakfast because you’re going to want to try a touton (which I mentioned earlier in the post). The breakfasts are big, the menu long with options and fresh fruit is served (which I found difficult to find in most of Newfoundland).

If you are in the mood for breakfast food, then the Bagel Cafe is where you should go. Bagel Cafe – This fun spot is something of a St John’s institution. We were recommended to come for the lobster dinner but its better known for hearty breakfasts and traditional dishes like toutons (fried dough served with molasses).

This diner-style eatery was pretty good, and it has an extensive menu. It’s also quite popular, as there was a line out the door one morning as we passed by!. We chose to get some breakfast to-go, and we were satisfied with it.
