Reviews Summary

Restaurant Sagamité offers a unique dining experience with its authentic Native American cuisine and immersive cultural ambiance. Diners rave about the game meats and the dramatic flaming meat presentation. However, some reviews mention issues with food temperature and portion sizes for the price.

"The food was super tasty, the waitstaff were super kind, helpful and patient. If traveling with toddlers or young kids, you should make reservations between 5-6. We showed up at 5:30 which was great since it meant our toddler wasn’t too disruptive (it was starting to get busy by 6:30 when we left). We placed a special order of cherry tomato’s for our toddler (she loves cherry tomato’s) and they were super kind and responsive. I ordered the bison short ribs. The meat melted in your mouth. Other people order the elk and caribou medillons and they were super tasty as well. My wife ordered the bison ravioli but they didn’t have any on hand and served her the tortellini instead. The tortellini and sauce was super good but you couldn’t really taste the meat."

"Authentic native cuisine is presented in a stunningly designed setting, where every detail enhances the overall experience. The medium-rare Potence of three antlers ( Deer , Elk and Bison) is uniquely served, suspended above your table on a hot stone with an artificial flame, allowing you to customize the cooking level to your personal preference. The staff were exceptionally cordial and welcoming, genuinely excited to host us. I thoroughly enjoyed this one-of-a-kind culinary adventure—truly a memorable experience from start to finish."

"When I discovered this unique place during my research of Old Quebec City, I knew had to go. They lived up to my expectations. Their menu is so unique I had to order something I knew I could get at home. Also, I usually don't eat a big dinner. I went for the two tartar of venison and salmon. Yes, salmon I can get in a sushi restaurant, but in case I did not like the venison I knew I would eat the salmon. Well, the venison was simply heavenly. It came with a generous salad to help balance the meal. I wish I had taken a better picture, but I was ready to dive into my meal. I was very glad that I made a reservation because the place filled up quickly. Eating here will be a very fond memory when I look back on my travels."
