Alpine Social: We went here for dinner one night during our stay at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. We sat outside and had a wonderful view of the lake!. This is a great place to go and get a drink and watch the sunset – we ordered the Pimm’s, a really refreshing cocktail made with soda, cucumber slices, orange slices and mint leaves.

Alpine Social is a busy bar/restaurant located on the lower level. Although we came early for dinner, there was already a bar crowd embedded, with televisions blaring a hockey game from several sections of the room. This is more a place for having a few drinks apré-ski than enjoying a relaxing dinner, yet the food was unique and tasty.

Head downstairs at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise to Alpine Social - this is a more relaxed pub-style affair, with a great menu offering hearty Canadian comfort food. Bar and booth and table seating means you can choose depending on your mood. Expect a nice selection of beers and wines and the usual Fairmont cocktail scene.
