A beautiful, dog friendly winery in Kelowna with knowledgable staff and a gorgeous view of the lake behind the vineyards. One of my favourite wineries. You’ll have to leash your dog outside the tasting room entrance but it’s in the shade, there’s a water bowl and she’ll get lots of attention from other visitors.

The Cottages at Quail’s Gate are a great option for groups up to 10 people. For somewhere close to the water I recommend the Delta Grand, the Manteo, or the Eldorado. The Eldorado also has a gorgeous patio looking out over at the lake and is an awesome spot to stop for a glass of wine or a martini!.

Another great spot for a local and seasonal menu, Old Vines is another famous BC winery. I love to sit outside with a view of the vines and dramatic Okanagan mountains. The menu is classic winery fine dining with offerings like veal, duck, charcuterie, fine cuts of beef and an extensive brunch.

Quails Gate Winery is one of the most famously recognized names in BC winemaking. This is a stunning property with acres and acres of vineyards, rolling hillsides and spectacular views. Tastings are available at Quails Gate Winery year-round but they also offer tours by reservation only.

Afterward, explore the local vineyards and sample some of the region’s finest wines at renowned wineries like Mission Hill Family Estate and Quails’ Gate. For water sports enthusiasts, Okanagan Lake offers a variety of activities including paddleboarding, wake-surfing, and jet-boating.

The Lakehouse is owned by Quails’ Gate winery and it is STUNNING!!!. It’s a beachfront HOUSE that sleeps 10 (4 bedrooms and a loft!) … it has so many beautiful features!. We have had many team meetings there over the years, and none of us ever seem to want to leave!

Living near Niagara-on-the-Lake and Prince Edward County and having visited Sonoma Valley, I’ve seen my share of wineries. However, nothing can compare to the Quail’s Gate Winery. Everything from the architecture to the outstanding view is perfect.

Although Pinot Noir is well established here – the Stewart Family at Quails’ Gate Winery were among the first to plant Pinot Noir in 1975 – decades were lost in pursuing a Californian style of rich and oaky wines favoured by the local market.
