Reviews Summary

Jasper Brewing Company is a popular brewpub praised for its great craft beer selection and elevated pub fare, especially the potato wedges and elk meatloaf. The atmosphere is lively, with many enjoying the patio and fireplace. While the food is generally well-received, some reviews note it can be average sports bar fare. Service is consistently described as friendly and attentive.

"My friend and I went to JPC twice while we were visiting Jasper and loved it. Highly recommend the potato wedges - particularly because of the sour cream and Thai chili sauce dip. Never knew both would pair so well together! Beets were amazing and staff was so helpful (gave us recs around the park)"

Ujesh Vora

"Had a late lunch at the Jasper Brewing Company. Solid food all around. Fish and chips, wings, poutine, or just a nacho snack, all of it was top tier perfectly made. S&P wings were crispy and tasty, a good size and not dry, like many others I've had. Recommended. Lots of beer choices if you like a fruity type. I had the Crisp Pil. Easy drinking and smooth. Service was good and constant to check on things. Atmosphere was quiet, some large sports TVs. Bathrooms were clean. Overall a 5 star, will be back. Please support Jasper so that the town can be greater than it was. Thanks."

ray girardi

"We had a spot outside in front of the business which was nice with the good weather. We just walked in without a reservation. They have a nice range of beers to choose from, some a bit more niche then the other. I also went for the elk meatloaf which was great. We had a good time."

The Best Bars In Jasper, Alberta

When it opened in 2005, Jasper Brewing Co. was the first brewery in a Canadian national park. Now, the brewpub is a community hub and offers cans, bottles and eight beers on tap, including Crisp Pils, a pilsner-style lager that is “approachable, polite and apologetically hoppy,” in a nod to the Canadian persona. Try the elk meatloaf or warm, soft pretzel, and take home an Albeerta Mix Pack with a sampling of 12 beers in four styles.

The park's only brewery is a fine stop for a beer and a burger, though the menu also features wings, poutine, nachos, fish-and-chips, and other pub fare in addition to well-made salads, steaks, and seafood dishes. Premium hops and natural mountain water go into the six signature beers brewed on site. You can watch sports action on the big screens near the bar or dine in the restaurant.

The Essential Guide to Jasper National Park in Canada

Opened in 2005, the Jasper Brewing Company was the first brewpub within a Canadian national park. It is now a local’s staple hangout. Seven different beers—like the Rockhopper IPA and Honey Bear Ale—are brewed on location, so make sure to order a brewery tour along with a fresh pint.

Jasper Alberta - Wilderness & Small Town Perfection

Jasper Brewing Company Brew Pub – The brewery was opened in 2005 and is Canada’s first National Park Brewery which we thought was pretty neat. I’m not gonna try and tell you this is the best beer ever, to be honest during our visit they had 6 brews on tap that were all pretty decent. In my “unexpert” opinion all the beers were fairly traditional and would likely satisfy the majority of the population, unfortunately they didn’t have any bombers or specialty beers for sale so the only thing we could drink was the standard tap.

10 Things You Must Do in Alberta, Canada

The craft beer scene is rapidly growing in Canada and in particular Alberta. Jasper Brewing Company was founded in 2005 by 3 ‘Jasperites’, and my tour around this small brewery explained the history and the work they do with the local community and charities. They were kind enough to give me a beer to bring home with a glass, to mark the re-opening of my own bar at home, following a house move, so watch this space, once the refurb is complete the beer will be open again!

Best Places To Visit In Jasper National Park

Both Banff and Jasper have unique features to them that I loved, but due to my love of animals and connecting with other humans - I really really loved Jasper and all it had to offer. You have way more animals here because of the altitude, and it feels less crowded than Banff because of so many more parking spaces. You can find a bit more variety and I felt it was a bit more of an authentic outdoor experience like I used to remember when visiting the parks as a kid.

After 96 years, Jasper’s Chaba Theatre shows its last picture

The new owners—Socrates Korogonas, Brett Ireland and Alex Derksen of Bear Hill Brewing, the parent company of Jasper Brewing Co.—had their change-of-use for the building approved by Parks Canada earlier this year. They have plans to put a food and beverage establishment, augmented by a retail outlet, in the space. Korogonas has said despite the group not being able to find a viable path forward for a cinema, the shareholders want to respect its legacy.
