Reviews Summary

Pacini Banff offers a pleasant Italian dining experience with a unique all-you-can-eat bread bar and cozy ambiance, especially praised for its gluten-free options and friendly service. However, some diners note that it may not be the most authentic Italian cuisine and have experienced issues with inconsistent food quality and service during peak hours or late in the evening.

"Pacini Banff is a nice spot with a fun atmosphere, especially the unique bread bar, which was a hit. I had the spaghetti—it was okay—but the kids really enjoyed their meals. The lasagna was hot and tasty, and the pizza looked great. It’s a good place to try once if you’re in Banff, though I probably wouldn’t return for a second visit. Friendly service and a cozy setting make it worth checking out!"

"Warning for European: this is not an authentic Italian restaurant. It has more in common to Olive Garden. None of the dishes except the lasagna would be found on an “authentic” Italian restaurant.

The chandeliers from Bocci are very nice and truly unique and sculptural.

The presentation of the dishes was nice and the service was good. But don’t come eat here after 8.45pm, otherwise you will suffered the loud cleaning of the bread bar grill. The butters of the “bread bar” were not maintained in a chilled container.

The taste of the food we ordered was not good. The pizzas are flatbread and not pizza. The prosciutto was cooked on top of the pizza rather than added after.

The pennes are cheap pasta, overcooked and mediocre taste. The prosciutto crudo quantity was very minimal.

The truffle pasta with truffle slices and truffle butter smells at first the truffle but the taste was not truffle."

"Thank you to the restaurant for letting us dine even during the last 30 minutes before closing.
The food was simply delicious.
If you’re a fan of lasagna, Lasagna Tradizionale is a must-try!"

After roaming the area in search of a gluten-free late dinner, we googled and found this restaurant suggestion. We started with a ceasar salad (9.5/10, the capers were a perfect, salty touch) and a pomodoro fromagio gluten-free pizza. The mozzarella is gooey and thick, the tomato sauce really balanced tangy and sweet with basil, the crust offered a chewy dough and crispy edge.

Their breakfast selection is excellent, with traditional eggs and bacon, crepes, frittatas, and an option to have gluten-free toast. I was pleasantly surprised they made gluten-free pizza, which I could get with goat cheese since I’m lactose-intolerant.
