What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Diners rave about the authentic Mexican flavors, especially the carne asada tacos and various salsas, often comparing them favorably to authentic Mexican experiences. The vibrant atmosphere and friendly service are frequently praised. However, some patrons find the prices to be significantly high for the portion sizes, and there have been comments about inconsistent food quality in certain dishes like the fried fish tacos.
"I’m always pleasantly surprised to find authentic Mexican food in Asia. The owner is from Mexico, so it’s no wonder they really nailed the flavors here. I’m from San Diego, California, not far from Tijuana, and have traveled to CDMX, all of Baja, and Oaxaca. The carne asada tacos I had here at Mexicano were seriously legit, as were the salsas.
The pico de gallo was close, though slightly off, but the verde, mole, and roja salsas were all so good! The tacos came on handmade tortillas that had just a slight chew, and the meat was seasoned beautifully with a nice sear. I was transported back to Tijuana for a few minutes.
A lot of patrons complain about the pricing, which I agree is steep, even in US terms, but you get what you pay for. The tacos here will not disappoint."

"Visited place for dinner. Burrito tasted good, but price is ridiculous. Fried fish tacos was served open and sauce was just splashed from top, so you can’t eat them without covering hands and everything around in this sauce. Fish inside had way too much coating and was over fried to dark colour and bitter taste. Staff didn’t help or give any comments, and we still got charged for tacos we didn’t eat. Coctail is okay, music good. General impression - service and food quality not worth the price"

"It's serious the best Quesadilla I've ever had, its full with cheese 😋
But the burrito is not that tasty especially with all the sauce that makes the meal so heavy, I like the environment but still feel a little bit empty inside, music is good, decorations is good, service is good, just the price it's quite high, but overall I do enjoy it a lot.
Will come again for sure."
