What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Ao Chopp do Gonzaga is a long-standing restaurant in Santos, praised for its lively atmosphere and some standout dishes like the seasoned onion appetizer. However, a significant number of diners report issues with the quality and temperature of the meat, particularly the churrasco, and find the prices to be high for the value received. Service is generally described as cordial, but language barriers can be an issue for non-Portuguese speakers.
"The best restaurant in Santos! Every time I go to Brazil, it’s my go-to place! I’m obsessed about the onion appetizer that you get with bread basket !! The meat is always on point, the draft beer always cold and tasty just like it should be and the owners are super nice and caring!"
Juliana Suaide
"We came in expecting a lot and was quite disappointed by the main star, the churrasco - it was a bit too hard on the mouth. The sides were decent, although the fries were too oily as well. The farofa was really good though. The price definitely wasn't worth the food."
Gian Mastrorosa
"It's really great, but a bit pricy for what it offers
I'd go for the pork loin only in the future"
