"Worst experience we had in Ilha Grande. Some of the prices on the English menu differ from the ones in the Portuguese menu so pay attention. We waited 45mins for drinks, 1h20mins for food, orders were wrong and one of us didn't get their food even after we had all finished eating. Waiters seemed lost, would forget to bring us basic things like cutlery and kept blaming each other for the delay or straight up ignoring us. Talked to the manager in the end and she gave us a discount, but anyway, not worth the money at all. The prices may be ok but the service and the quality of the food are not good."

Outra dica de onde comer em Ilha Grande é a Adega Farol dos Castelhanos, que está bem perto da igreja. Embora a moça da pousada que ficamos tenha comentado que geralmente as pessoas não gostam muito dos restaurante dessa região, a gente gostou muito. Acabamos comendo lá paella, moqueca e feijoada de frutos do mar, que nada mais é do que uma adaptação do cassoulet.
Day 9-14: Incredible Ilha Grande!
Adega Farol dos Castelhanos: for an affordable feast with fresh fish, the owner Marcello is a real character and he's very proud of his food. Freshly caught at sea every day, there are some fantastic fish to share (or meat if you're in that mood). We had the anchovy, which unlike the tiny things that come out of a tin in Europe, was a massive fish for sharing.
