It’s very family-friendly, yet also elegant in the way it welcomes guests. Different worlds come together here in the best way. "Unfortunately, our experience here was disappointing. I asked the waiter whether the dish I pointed to was fried calamari rings, and he said yes. What I received was something completely different. When I explained that this wasn’t what I expected, I was told I still had to pay and that it was basically my own fault. There was no attempt to acknowledge the misunderstanding or offer any kind of solution.

At the beginning of the meal, we were served bread with garlic oil without asking for it — and it later showed up on the bill. When I questioned this politely, the staff acted as if I was being unreasonable and made me feel quite unwelcome.

To make things worse, the food itself was underwhelming. One of the salads even had a small insect in it. I didn’t mention it at the time to avoid further unpleasantness, but it really added to the overall poor impression.

I had hoped for a better and more hospitable experience, but sadly, I wouldn’t recommend this place based on how we were treated."

"A great scene-change from Sarajevos busy centre - Toplik is beautiful - surrounded by nature, cute little gardens and with relaxing water flowing trough the entirety of the restaurant.

We went for coffee and desserts, everything was great.

The place is busy. The service isn't always the absolute best, but Toplik still gets 5/5 stars from me. Make sure that you make a reservation if you are planning to visit in the peak season."
