What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Restaurant & Hotel Kriva Ćuprija is lauded for its exceptional hospitality and magical ambiance, particularly its riverside terrace dining. Guests rave about the delicious traditional Bosnian dishes and the friendly, attentive staff. While most reviews are overwhelmingly positive, a few mention occasional issues with food quality and overpricing.
"Staying in this hotel (and in Mostar) was the highlight of our trip to the Balkans! The staff were so friendly and kind. One day my husband's glasses broke and they fixed them for him! The hotel itself is beautiful and located right in the middle of old town, it's so easy to walk everywhere. There's even an entrance hidden in an alley off of the bazar. We loved having breakfast every morning on the terrace right over the river. The spread at breakfast was delicious and they have espresso drinks, drip coffee and tea. I really can't explain how special this hotel is and how wonderful the people are."

"Good morning to all the staff
(I wish I could list everyone’s names, but I don’t want to risk missing anyone or spelling them wrong.)
I write this as I dip my traditional Bosniak lokum biscuits so generously and lovingly gifted into warm milk. 🙂
Thank you for the lovely service. Every single member of staff - from the midnight shift to the morning and evening teams - was simply amazing.
The team of staff at this hotel alone can turn a one star hotel into a five star experience, they work so well with each other.
And this hotel is more than just a hotel - it’s a magical fairytale, waterfall within and cobbled stone surrounding it. I’m still trying to decide whether my last few nights were a dream or real. The location is incredible, with so many entrances and exits that each lead to something beautiful - the Old Bridge, the bazaar, the river, or the waterfalls. There’s even a 24 hour store down one road for any snacks, water, gum anything plus it accepts card!
The breakfast was simple but delicious and hearty, providing the perfect energy to explore Mostar. I’m actually glad it wasn’t too fancy - it encouraged us to get out and see the city rather than linger too long! There’s a good variety of items, and you can even request espresso on top of the included drinks.
The staff were always attentive - cleaning, helping, making everything smooth. The whole hotel, including room service, is truly top tier.
The room itself was a surprise - the frosted glass bathroom door (with no lock!) caught me off guard, but thankfully there was a curtain for privacy. It might feel awkward when sharing with a sibling, for example - but I can imagine this hotel being perfect for a honeymoon. In fact, if I ever meet someone special (maybe a Bosnian who knows!) I’d love for us to spend our first getaway here.
This was my first time in Bosnia, and honestly, I can’t imagine any other country matching the experience - not just because of this hotel, but everywhere. From the smooth car hire in Sarajevo (albeit the slow service but we did get upgraded to a brand new car) to the Lamb House in Jablanica and countless other moments - it’s all been unforgettable.
Note: There is parking available just outside the hotel, but make sure to stay within the marked bays and pay, or you might get a 20 BAM fine (don’t ask how I know!). If you park slightly further back, it seems to be free - I parked there for three days with no issues.
Overall recommend this hotel whether for one day or more if visiting this city is on your itinerary, this is the only hotel to be in to truly experience the Bosnian hospitality and the city of Mostar itself."

"The location is perfect for exploring the old town of Mostar. One of the gates to the hotel is right off the Crooked Bridge, and it's only a 5 minute walk through the bazaar to the Stary Most.
The room is comfortable and clean.
Hospitality is the best we've ever experienced. They helped us to park, then carried our luggage from the parking lot to our room, refusing our help with anything. When we checked out, they picked up the luggage from our room and returned it to our car.
Both dinner and breakfast were very good in the restaurant. We ate breakfast out on the patio with a gorgeous view!"
