"I came in the first time for the name (Bananaland!! I love it 😀) but the food blew me away!! So, so, good! The first night we had the picadinho de filé mignon and the Nhoque de batata com espinafre (spinach gnocchi), which was perfect 👌 It was so good that we have come back and tried the Nhoque de Barao ao Molho de Gorgonzola (Gorgonzola gnocchi) and Filé com arroz de limão Siciliano. Meu Deus!! So delicious! And when in Bananaland, of course, you have to try the Banana Especial for desert, so we did.... I would have had another, but I was so full I just couldn't do it!!"

I can’t endorse any specific restaurant I ate at, but I did try Mr. Brad, Bananaland, and a sports bar next to my hostel. The pizza place out in front of the hostel is pretty good and reasonably priced, and guests get a 10% discount.
