A crowd favourite with several branches spread across the Kingdom, Lanterns has become one of the best restaurants in Bahrain for authentic Indian cuisine. There are several Lanterns locations in Bahrain, but the one we go to is in Adliya/Block 338. This Indian restaurant is lovely inside and out, and though we usually eat in the dining room, they also have a gorgeous courtyard garden lounge (with some kind of magical system to lower the outside temperature). The food is great, and I also like the mocktails, though I have to admit their cocktails are usually too strong for me (and their pina colada is not frozen! It’s on the rocks).

While we're definitely a fan of the latest batch of restaurants in Bahrain, we also have a serious attachment to the island's long timers. Lanterns has been around for some time, and several years ago they opened a new branch in Adliya.
