What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Bahamian Cookin' is celebrated for its authentic and delicious Bahamian cuisine, with many praising the generous portions and friendly service. However, some diners note that service can be slow, and prices are on the higher side.
"Great food, but OK service. We ordered their fried chicken and grouper fish fingers - both were delicious and cooked to perfection (not overcooked or oily). Their peas n' rice were good, but not the best I've had on the Island. Their conch fritters were good, but could definitely use more conch in them.
They are popular and busy, so it will take time to get your food. If you're in a rush, you might want to skip this place."

"We really liked this spot. The young man welcomed us warmly and taught us how to pronounce Bahamian food and drink correctly. The guava duff and conch fritters are delicious! It seems like the perfect take out spot, but we sat down and chilled to beat the heat."
Lois Seffu
"Our server was really nice and had some good banter. She knew the menu well and provided recommendations. We even taught her some new slang words. I had the pork chop with gravy and it was really nice. The fries and rice could have used some more salt, but it was alright after everything was mixed together a bit. The mac and cheese was delicious and had a nice kick of spice. Presentation was nice.
The bathroom also had some funny decor.
The only negative was that things were a bit pricy."
