"While dining in a very good restaurant in Munich we mentioned we were heading to Salzburg next. The manager suggested we experience Zirbelzimmer at the Sacher Hotel, for the last night of our 10 day trip to Bavaria and Salzburg. Our waiter was Tim, he was excellent as was the others who served us. It was a bit quiet, only 4 tables were active, but the overall dinner was superb. Our waiter paired wines with our selections. Don’t miss the Wiener schnitzel, it truly is as anticipated, an outstanding presentation by the hotel culinary team of this traditional dish. Of course, ask for the Sacher cake, a “must” while visiting this beautiful hotel."

"What a great spot for dinner!!!! The food was excellent fine dining. We had the lobster and beef tenderloin and both were amazing. The service was absolutely top notch h. If you have the opportunity to have Tim as your waiter, you will be impressed I’m sure. Attentive, kind, and great suggestions for things to do even in other cities in Austria. This was an absolute memory maker of a place to go on this trip, so do yourself a favor and try it out."

"This is excellent restaurant on the river side with nice panorama looking at old city and the castle. Its located in Sacher hotel and I would recommend to ask Sacher cake for a dessert. Main traditional dishes are true excellent. Service was not fast - better to book 2 hours for a lunch. Prices are relatively expensive. Its good that quality fits the value."
