However, some diners have encountered issues with specific dishes being underwhelming, and a few have noted concerns about upselling and bill accuracy.
"Such a delicious experience.. the food was nice and well cooked. I also enjoyed the lemon soda. I highly recommend"

"Unfortunately, my experience at Restaurant Triangel was subpar. The waiter's behaviour was unacceptable - when my friend pointed to the menu to order, he insisted she say the dish aloud, despite her obvious discomfort with the pronunciation. This made her feel embarrassed and uncomfortable. The food didn't fare much better; the beef soup was particularly underwhelming. To top it off, the prices were steep. To be fair, the truffle pasta was quite decent. Needless to say, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant."

See and be seen among the Salzburg Festival glitteratti in Triangel's large outdoor seating area, or cozy up in the intimate dining room of this organic-farming-focused Austrian restaurant. The endless pounding coming from the kitchen tells you that the Wiener schnitzel is a popular choice, but perhaps the highlight here is the schweinsbraten: roast pork belly served with dumplings and cabbage.

The pavement terrace faces the festival hall, centerpiece of the summer’s headlining Salzburg Festival. A short stroll from here is St Peter’s Abbey, where you can admire the rococo-in-overdrive church and the cemetery’s eerie catacombs hollowed out of the cliff face.

A Private Tour of Salzburg … Secret Salzburg
On the way Heidi wanted me to see Triangel Restaurant, which is behind the University Church and adjacent to the festival halls of the famous Salzburg Festival. It’s a popular and cozy little place (always two entrees for €4.50 each on the luncheon menu) but during the Salzburg Festival Heidi told me that you’ll find festival patrons in suits and gowns sharing outdoor lunch tables with folks in shorts and t-shirts.
