"Reservation recommended! But special mention to Farid who accommodated us on a Tuesday.
Lovely food, this coming from an Indian who eats flavourful dishes and would assume Austrian food is bland (It so is not!)
Loved the schnitzel Mailänder , the apple dessert and spaghetti with schnitzel along with house wines.. whenever I do come.back to Salzburg, I know where I'm getting my heart and stomach filled! Lovely 😭💕"

"Local restaurant with warm atmosphere located in a quiet area. Reservation using website.👍🏻
The followings are the food we have ordered:☺️
1. Milanese Pork Schnitzel
Pork cutlet with cheese sprinkles fried together on top. So, it is more savoury than normal Viennese pork schnitzel. The schnitzel is succulent and not too greasy. Potatoes are sweet and mushy. A new choice if you get bored with normal schnitzel.🙌🏻
2. Krautnockerl mit Blattsalat
We are so confused with the dish even with the use of a translator. Hence, we ask for help from the staff and she verbalises it is a traditional Austrian dish featuring small square pasta and cabbages. Knowing it is one of the regional dishes, we decide to give it a try. We are a bit worried at first since we have no idea at all. Well, it tastes like Asian char kway teow (炒貴刁) and we really like it.🤣 Free salad is included too!
3. Radler
Normal taste.😛"

After a long day sightseeing, the Weinstube with its rustic, cozy interior and hearty food might be the perfect place for dinner!. The Kaspressknödel (best translated as a flat cheese dumpling) was a recommendation of my fellow blogger marestella.me and indeed tasted very good!. And while you wait for the food you might wanna pick a few songs from their vintage jukebox 😉

Another slightly hidden place - this one on the other side of the Salzach, in the Steingasse. Named after the Tyrolian freedom fighter Andreas Hofer, this place offers great local food and local beers for reasonable prices. Popular with students, again, so make sure you call in advance or be prepared for disappointments.
