Reviews Summary
Gasthaus zum Wilden Mann is praised for its award-winning traditional Tyrolean and Austrian cuisine, with many diners highlighting the excellent quality of dishes like the Wiener Schnitzel and the generous portion sizes. The cozy, traditional ambiance and warm hospitality also receive positive mentions. However, some guests have experienced issues with perceived rudeness, particularly towards foreign guests, and a lack of vegetarian/vegan options.
"Once a year I come to eat at their restaurant the wiener schnitzel: it's fantastic! Even the dessert are good. The prices are quite high, bit with a good quality/price ratio (high quality). The service is also good, but some waiters don't speak english very well."

"My review is about restaurant.
Restaurant right in front of hotel. My recommendation if you book a hotel, visit the restaurant.
In general, the food and service are ok, I liked the food, I liked the service.
About the food in more details:
1. The food is tasty
2. The portion is big enough, be ready and don’t overestimate yourself (I had to take the half of schnitzel to go).
What I didn’t like:
1. They included in the bill an appetizer which I didn’t order. I expected it’s on the house, as it usually in other restaurants. I have to say, the appetizer was nice (bread, cream cheese and some local “fat”), but didn’t expect to pay for that :)
But in general, I have the nice feelings about this place."

"Below mediocre food and totally mediocre ambience. May be interesting for some Americans for example but the food ,ambiance and service was nothing special. Vegetarian and vegan options are almost non existent. Food is horribly simple and looks cheap and easily home made. I tried some local mushrooms that were 40 euros and I expected something extraordinary but they were just blend. Everything is overly buttery and oily and cheap like with potatoes . I would definitely not recommend and I would definitely not go back . Waste of your time and money ."

After a lovely lunch at Dorfstadl on the ski resort, where I enjoyed a rich tomato soup, we returned to the city for some last-minute Christmas shopping and relaxation in the hotel spa, before heading to Zum Wilden Mann in Lans for our farewell dinner.
