Das Gasthaus Anich ist ein Paradies für alle Liebhaber*innen der österreichischen Küche. Hier gibt es Schnitzel, Knödel und tolle Salate für jene, die es weniger deftig mögen. Und auch das Ambiente ist typisch Tirol: Die Holzmöbel sind im Stil altmodischer Stuben gehalten und der grüne Farbanteil der Dekoration bringt eine bodenständige Ruhe in das rege Gasthaustreiben.

Ein wunderschön renoviertes, altes Gasthaus in der Anichstraße Nr. 15. Einfach, bodenständig mit sehr guten lokalen Gerichten zu moderaten Preisen und sehr großen Portionen. Eine rustikale aber gute Empfehlung, wenn es einen nicht stört, dass am Nachbartisch die Fußballerrunde nach dem Training noch gemütlich zusammensitzt.

Gasthaus Anich is a hidden gem in Innsbruck when it comes to authentic Tyrolean cuisine. Its unassuming facade makes it easy to overlook, but that would be a big mistake!. It is charming, rustic and traditional with delicious Austrian dishes.

Don’t forget to try it alongside other homemade Tyrolean dishes at Gasthaus Anich. The wood-panelled, chalet-esque restaurant also serves local delicacies such as bacon dumplings, heart-warming goulash and pork roast smothered in beer sauce.

–The Gasthaus Anich is located between the old town and the strain station but it is worth the walk. This is certainly not a touristy place but the food was my favorite of all. Don’t expect fancy tables and over polite waiters.

If you want to taste some authentic Tyrolean food, such as dumplings, schnitzel, cheese or bacon, you can go to one of these places: Stiftskeller, Gasthaus Anich, Weisses Rössl or Tiroler Wirtshaus.

There are restaurants you go to because you want to have delicate portions of well-made food. And there are other restaurants you go to because you are hungry. Anich is in the latter category.

It is a shame that many good working class places have shut down the last years. RIP: Lewisch, Innsbrucker Stüberl, Gasthaus Tengler, the old Peterbrünnl and many more..
