Reviews Summary
Yiamas Perth offers a charming Greek dining experience with a warm ambiance and friendly service, praised for its authentic flavors and unique dishes like hummus and grilled meats. However, some diners have noted inconsistencies in seasoning, occasional issues with service, and a potentially dark dining environment as the evening progresses.
"Awesome Food, service & ambience. Really enjoyed the night. Staff were super friendly and made us feel welcome and comfortable, will be back for sure! Thank you 🤩"

"I really wanted to like this place, and even chose it as a place to celebrate a special occasion and last meal in Perth. However, it was sadly a disappointment. The food didn’t live up to expectations in general.
The best part about dinner was the bread basket and the hummus. As for mains, the pork we had was not seasoned well, it was a bit strange eating pork so bland. We also ordered the fish - which came out smelling fishy and as it turns out, was raw on the inside. The restaurant apologised profusely and sent out another fish for us which came out cooked, but again under seasoned. They also sent out some eggplant as service recovery for the raw fish, but unfortunately I do not eat eggplant, and they did not ask me prior.
While everyone was friendly in general, as we were leaving the restaurant (with our luggage), the Maître d did not bother to help with the door and we struggled our way through. Not saying that they have to help us with the door, but I do think it’s a valid point to consider when it comes to reviewing the service of an upper scale restaurant.
The ambience of restaurant itself is nice. But that said, I would not go back or recommend it."

"Had a family dinner at Yiamas. Nice place and staff were very attentive and responsive to our requests. The appetizers were very good, with the grilled pita bread and the excellent tzatziki and hummus with grilled lamb dips. The main courses were ordered as sharing dishes, the grilled fish with tomatoes and peppers (Ichthys) was beautifully done and tasty. The octopus with sambal tomato glaze (Octapodi kokkinisto) was nice but not to our taste as we were not used to octopus done this way. The braised lamb shoulder (Tava) was good especially when combined with the home made chilli sauce. The meal was accompanied with Yiamas salad which was refreshing and great accompaniment to our mains. The good meal was topped by nice deserts of the traditional Baklava which paired well with Greek coffee and vanilla truffle Greek custard pie (Majimup truffle bougasta). An extra complimentary order of this great pie was given as one of our orders of potatoes was missed!
On the whole, a good meal, representing traditional Greek food at its best!
Worth the visit if you are yearning for Greek cuisine!"
