Literally everything we had from the food trucks there was top tier 👌🏼 Also, Food for Dudes does a version of the raising canes box which we didn’t try but looked fantastic 😍 🧅 Pani puri, $11.99 🍖 Brisket ...

Reviews Summary

Jailhouse Grill is highly praised for its expertly cooked steaks and the fantastic all-you-can-eat salad bar. The historic building and warm atmosphere add to the dining experience, with many reviewers commending the friendly and efficient service. However, some diners have found certain dishes, like the pork ribs, to be fatty, and a few have experienced inconsistencies in food quality and service, especially given the price point.

"We had one of the nicest meals in Launceston at the Jailhouse Grill Steak House. Seafood was beautiful, everything was cooked to your liking and very fresh. Could not fault the staff or the food, both excellent. The sticky date dessert and cream was amazing. Good value for money as we had our drinks included under $80. Everyone left full and everyone loved the food. Definitely a place to go, there is family seating at the front and "date night" seating at the back. Hot Seafood Platter and Caribbean Chicken highly recommended!"

"We had dinner at Jailhouse Grill on Good Friday night, and it was a great experience. I had the NY cut cooked medium with the dark mushroom and bacon sauce—cooked to perfection and full of flavor. The eye fillet, ordered medium rare, was also spot on. Both steaks were juicy and done just right.

The sauce was rich and tasty, especially the dark mushroom and bacon combo, which added a hearty touch. We finished off with the sticky pudding—a warm, comforting dessert that was perfect for the chilly night."

"Our last visit was a 5 - this visit a 4 max.
I ordered pork ribs and it was unappealing and very very fatty.
Not trimmed very well.
It put me off and my plate was returned almost full.
Salad bar was awesome.
My husbands steak was lovely.
Being quite pricey I don’t believe it should have been served that way. I thought the waitress would ask why I was sending it back mostly uneaten, but didn’t - or I would have said."
