Reviews Summary

Ti Ama offers a vibrant dining experience with delicious, authentic wood-fired pizzas and a playful, Instagrammable atmosphere. While the food consistently receives high praise for its quality and generous portions, some reviews mention issues with service speed during busy periods and the higher price point of wines. Despite minor criticisms, the restaurant is celebrated for its unique decor and flavorful Italian cuisine.

"Had dinner at Ti Ama on a Sunday night and it absolutely lived up to the hype—hands down the best pizza in Hobart. This is proper Italian pizza, not the heavy, American-style kind. The base was light, perfectly cooked, and full of flavour, with quality toppings that really stood out. You can tell they care about authenticity here. They also offer takeaway, which is great if you’re in the mood for a cozy night in. The location is super convenient and easily walkable from the city centre. Prices were decent too, especially for the quality. A must-visit if you’re in Hobart and craving real Italian pizza"

"Very cool little spot. Love the vibe & the colours. Food was amazing, and the banquet was good value! The pizzas were huge & the waiter was lovely enough to offer us a half & half option. Also, the frosty fruit cocktail was probably the best cocktail I've ever had 10/10 The pizzas were also so big that we got to take the leftovers home for lunch the next day!"

"Fantastic Experience at Tiama Restaurant

Had a wonderful dining experience at Tiama! The decor and vibe of the place are simple yet elegant, creating a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. We were lucky to be served by Val, who was incredibly professional and attentive—his customer service was top-notch and really made us feel taken care of.

The food? Absolutely amazing! Huge thanks to the chef for delivering such flavorful and perfectly cooked dishes. The Margherita pizza, in particular, is a must-try—fresh, delicious, and full of flavor. Definitely coming back again!"

17 of the best places to eat in Hobart you can't miss

It always pays to have a good local pizzeria up your sleeve, so we suggest you put Ti Ama on speed dial pronto. Whether you’re just looking to smuggle a wood-fired dough haul back into your hotel room, or you’re hoping for a pizza pie and a cocktail in an upbeat atmosphere, this Battery Point restaurant has got your back. Choose from one of the classics (margherita, pepperoni) or opt for something a little more outlandish, such as the likes of the King Kofta (a smoky capsicum base with lamb sausage, herb yoghurt and zaatar); either way, this tried and true local delivers.

Hobart's Best Pizza Spots

Tucked away towards the end of Salamanca Place, it blends a cool, lively vibe with a menu full of seriously good woodfired pizzas. Their dough is perfectly blistered and chewy, the toppings are fresh and generous, and they’re not afraid to get a little creative. The “Margherita pizza” was a standout for me — fresh and flavoursome and just different enough to feel special.
