Cicerello's Fremantle is a beloved institution for fish and chips with a fantastic harbor view. Many praise the generous seafood platters and the unique experience of dining with indoor aquariums. However, some reviews mention concerns about soggy batter, high prices compared to average fish and chip shops, and the aggressive nature of seagulls when dining outdoors.
"I’m delighted to share my great
experience at Cicerello’s Fremantle
yesterday.Since it was bright sunny
day and we visited Fremantle with
my family.
Cicerello’s Fremantle is more than
a century old restaurant and when
a restaurant served the community
for such a great period, it means
it must be doing something great.
It was very busy but the queue was
fast.
The ambience of this place was
good. The beautiful aquariums
with beautiful fishes and coral
in them makes this place more
attractive to visit again & again.
It’s famous for their fresh,juicy
and delicious sea food with their
amazing customer service.All the
team members are always ready to
serve their valued customer’s with
an honest and beautiful smile on their face.
It’s a favourite destination for all
the tourists visiting WA because of
its scenic beauty.
Great place to relish the classic
fish and chips with awesome view.
No hesitation to refer and revisit
Cicerello’s Fremantle in future.👍👍"

"Cicerello’s in Fremantle is always a good spot if you’re after fish and chips by the water. The location is great – right on the harbour with plenty of outdoor seating and a nice atmosphere, especially on a sunny day.
The fish is fresh and the batter comes out crispy, and the chips are usually cooked well. Portion sizes are decent, but the prices are definitely higher than your average fish and chip shop – you’re paying a bit extra for the views and the whole Fremantle vibe.
It does get busy on weekends, so sometimes you’ve got to wait a bit longer for food, but the place has a nice family-friendly feel with the aquariums inside and plenty of space.
Overall, it’s not the cheapest, but it’s a bit of a Fremantle classic and worth it if you want the full harbour fish and chips experience."

"Our cousins took us out for the day to Freemantle and we ended up having lunch at Cicerello's. It's a nice casual seafood restaurant with nice views of the water. We had planned to sit outdoors but the seagulls were pretty aggressive.
The six of us ordered a variety of good (mostly seafood, although one cousin got a chicken sandwich). The portions are huge. I had ordered a spicy crumbled fish and chips and could barely finish half of one fish piece. My sister enjoyed her squid and crab. My brother in law was the happiest person with his lobster. He was amazed at the prices. It seems Perth is a lot cheaper than Auckland, NZ. Overall a good place to eat but come hungry or you will end up wasting your meal!!"

Perth's Best Seafood Platters | URBAN LIST PERTH
Many of our childhoods have been dotted with trips down to the Fremantle Wharf for a big ol’ feed of fish and chips at Cicerello’s, and so it’s no wonder that this rustic charming establishment has withstood the test of time. Their Deluxe Tasting Plate is not only a bargain at less than $55, but also throws in all their usual trimmings as well as a decadent half lobster that’ll have you salivating. Grab yourself a seat on the pier and thank us later.
Fremantle for Families – How to Spend a Day in Fremantle with the Family
We’ve eaten at both Joe’s Fish Shack and Cicerellos before, so this time we opted for the Kailis Fish Market. First founded in 1928 by the father and grandfather of the current owners, the Kailis Kailis Fish and Lobster Market Café serves up some of the finest quality seafood. This also means it’s the busiest spot on the harbour, so despite the abundance of tables it can be difficult to get a seat.
