What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Tong's Chinese Restaurant offers a mixed bag of experiences, with some patrons praising the authentic Hong Kong-style dishes and friendly family service. However, a significant number of reviews highlight issues with food quality, portion sizes, and pricing, leading to disappointment for some long-time customers. While the ambiance is noted as traditional and cozy, consistency in food preparation and service appears to be a recurring concern.
"We had dinner inside the restaurant and our service was smooth. The girl was friendly, asked how everything was and kept an eye out.
The food was really good, we ordered the mongolian lamb and satay seafood. The lamb was tender and the seafood as well! Just how I like it!"
Capucine Bollé
"Worst Chinese I’ve ever had. Over priced. Small portions, $35 for that very small container of Mongolian lamb. Not even same size as other containers ( size compared beside) which is small as it is! Absolutely disappointing! Pad Thai is flavourless and had no sauce in it at all! Spring rolls are mushy. $160 wasted! Friendly staff however."
D Cooper
"Sorry folks. No can do anymore. Last 3 meals terrible.
Such a shame the owners are great… hope all is well with you guys.
Xxx"
