What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Restaurant Dan Arnold is celebrated for its exquisite tasting menus and impeccable service, offering a thrilling gastronomic journey. Many praise the artistry and innovation of each dish, alongside the meticulous attention to detail from the staff. However, some diners found the experience to be exceptionally long, and a few felt certain dishes lacked inspiration or were overpriced for the quality.
"First of all, this establishment truly embodies the art of hospitality. The staff are attentive, inviting & warm. The attention to detail in their service is nothing short of impressive; from the thoughtful bag holder at your table to the courteous door-opening & neatly folded napkins every time you excused yourself, it’s clear that the little things really do matter here.
And then, there’s the food - a culinary masterpiece pairing nicely with their exceptional service. Each dish is crafted with careful precision - you could just tell each dish reflected the meticulous spirit of a perfectionist. We indulged in an 8-course degustation over 3 hours, an experience that was just amazing. At times, the harmonious pairing of flavours & condiments of a handful of dishes transported me to a culinary nirvana, taking me on a thrilling journey through a wide range of gastronomic sensations in my mouth. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a truly unforgettable dining experience!"

"Honestly awful. Waste of money.
The staff were uninviting and miserable.
We sat for 20 minutes before anyone came to the table to say Hello.
And even then it was hollow and fake.
The waitress had 0 knowledge on the wines that I paired, telling me it’s from France and has creamy tones to match the next course or it’s from Victoria and its floral and has herb flavours.
Awesome!!! $210 for that. I can pick a wine and do that. DO NOT MATCH. Appalling…
We were there for 3 hours and 30 minutes and only just received our main course, we didn’t stick around for desserts. By that time we were over it. Just let us pay and leave.
Food was uninspiring and flavourless.
First few bites were tasty, but after that… all down hill. It’s just protein cooked barely passable, with a green and some sort of soy dressing. Same thing every boring course.
The chicken was as border line raw as it gets.
Nearly sent it back.
I cannot believe this is 18/20. Absolutely mind blown, hat system is broken and this restaurant is actively bad.
DO NOT COME TO RDA.
Waste of time and money."

"Dan Arnolds is one of the best restaurants in Brisbane. We went there again recently as a party of four. It did not disappoint. Food, service and ambiance are top notch. We usually get the five course degustation which feels more like an eight or nine course with the Amuse Bouche (which are my absolute favourites!). The lamb tartare was also a standout. This is Michelin star quality dining at great value. The visuals are gorgeous too, each dish is a work of art in both form and content.
So lucky to have Dan here in Brisbane adding to what seems to be becoming (albeit slower than Melbourne and Adelaide) a great foodie destination. Looking forward to our next visit!"
