Reviews Summary

Diners praise Restaurant Botanic for its exceptional fine dining experience, unique culinary journey, and serene ambiance within the Adelaide Botanic Gardens. Highlights include the creative use of local ingredients and impeccable service. However, some guests found certain dishes too intensely flavored, and one notable complaint mentioned an issue with pests and a lack of response from staff, impacting the overall high-end perception.

"Visited in Sep 2024 for lunch

The meal the Restaurant Botanic was by far my best dining experience during my trip to Adelaide. The multi-course menu is an eclectic journey of flavours made mostly using local produce and ingredients sourced from the gardens that surround the restaurant. The meal is a well planned mix of meat, seafood and vegetarian courses. The overall dining experience took about 3.5 hours and I’d say that it is quite well paced given the number of courses.

For drinks, I went with the non alcoholic pairing and it was quite good.

This place is a must visit for a fantastic fine dining experience if you’re in Adelaide."

"I had an unforgettable dining experience at the Botanic restaurant in Adelaide on March 8th. Nestled within the beautiful Adelaide Botanic Gardens, the ambiance was serene and beautifully complemented by the lush surroundings. I opted for the "Feed Me" menu, which offered an exquisite selection of dishes that showcased the chef's creativity and attention to detail.

One of the standout dishes was the kangaroo, which was perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. Each course was a delightful surprise, bursting with fresh flavors and thoughtfully paired ingredients. The presentation was impeccable, turning each plate into a work of art.

Our server, Harris, was exceptional. His attentiveness and knowledge greatly enhanced our dining experience, offering insightful recommendations and ensuring that we were well taken care of throughout the meal.

The Botanic restaurant truly exceeds expectations with its innovative cuisine and stunning setting. I give it a solid 5 out of 5 stars and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a remarkable dining adventure in Adelaide."

Ross Watkins

"We spent Sunday at Restaurant Botanic enjoying wine, service and most the dishes. Honestly, I couldn’t fault the venue - it is operated like a machine with super engaging and informed staff. The dishes were wide ranging in taste and texture but all consistent on bite sized morsels. There were a few where the botanic or vinegar or sour taste was too much. Overall, it was a nice, one off experience in Adelaide"
