We try to visit a new restaurant every Friday night and it was the turn of @peelst restaurant. The service was fast, attentive and professional. The food ingredients are so thoughtfully chosen and paired together so well! It was amazing delicious and not as expensive for the quality of the food served. The dessert we paired with coffee and it was a hoot! You should definitely visit! What we had: C...

Reviews Summary

Peel St is highly praised for its delicious, flavorful fusion cuisine and generous, shareable portions, making it a standout dining experience. The industrial-chic atmosphere and attentive, friendly staff further enhance the visit. While most reviews are overwhelmingly positive, one diner noted that they went for the vibes over the food on a subsequent visit, suggesting a potential inconsistency or preference for atmosphere.

"Delicious fusion food with generous serves. We had the octopus toast and lamb dumpling for starters and the short rib for main and we were stuffed!
The flavours was really well balanced. The service was excellent and the meals came out promptly"

Annalisa Contos

"Ate with work colleagues. The banana blossom salad reads odd on the menu but it’s really brilliant. Loved it. We had the “ feed me” option and all the dishes were well with it.

Will definitely be coming back."

Andrew Morrison

"Had an amazing dinner at Peel St last night. The tapas were incredible, every dish was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. My host Shelby was fantastic, going out of her way to make the evening special with genuine recommendations and warm service.

The atmosphere is cozy and relaxed, perfect for unwinding. Honestly, the food was so good I went back the next night…when’s the last time a restaurant made you do that? Peel St has definitely earned a new regular customer."

Adelaide’s 20 most powerful restaurants in the city – ranked

If this list was created five years ago Peel Street would have been close to the top, if not number one. What’s interesting is that – just like five years ago – you can still reach into the seat pocket in front of you on a Virgin or Qantas flight and flip through the inflight magazine to the pages reserved for telling you where to eat in what capital city you’re visiting and still find Peel Street listed. The creation of chefs Jordan Theodoros and Martin Corcoran along with FOH boss Ben McLeod has stood the test of time in the most effortless of fashions.

Adelaide's most powerful restaurants - CityMag

When it comes to Peel St’s power source, one word comes to mind for CityMag: legacy. Today, Googling “Peel St restaurant” hits you with lists of small bars and dining options in the West End laneway, but that was not the case when the restaurant opened in 2013 on what was then a barren and little-known laneway. The restaurant was important in Peel Street’s drink and dine revival when the former Weatherill government created small bar licenses.
