Reviews Summary
Amalfi Pizzeria Ristorante is celebrated for its authentic Italian cuisine, particularly its pizzas and generous pasta portions, all served in a cozy atmosphere. While many praise the flavorful dishes and friendly service, some recent reviews suggest a decline in consistency for classic dishes, with concerns about watery sauces and undercooked pasta. Despite occasional disappointments, it remains a popular spot for hearty Italian fare.
"it is no surprise this joint is busy everyday as food is really good. oysters are a litlle small but fresh and each bite brings you back to the ocean. pasta is well executed and sauce is tasty. minestrone soup is served hot and warms the stomach. service is friendly though you do have to wait sometimes cos they are really busy. food is also served relatively quicker then we expected, despite the crowd. inside can get rather noisy so choose to sit outside if you prefer a quiet meal."

"Everything we had was yum! Particularly the Amalfi pasta and the tiramisu. The mussels were not the freshest but the seasoning was just perfect. The pizza we ordered had lots of toppings, but the flavors felt a bit muddled."

"We had an incredible Italian meal here. Every dish we tried was packed with flavor and came in surprisingly generous portions for the price. The service was warm and attentive, and the overall atmosphere felt cozy and welcoming.
Everything was delicious, but the calzone was the real standout — absolutely phenomenal. I don’t usually go for vegetarian options, but this one completely won me over. It was rich, balanced, and satisfying in every bite.
Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for authentic, hearty Italian food in a friendly setting."

Adelaide's favourite local fast food
Red-brick, austere Amalfi looks like something straight out of Chicago during Prohibition: it’s not hard to imagine Al Capone ducking in for a quickfire pizza and a bottle of vino rosso in a booth out the back. But even for us law-abiding types, Amalfi remains an estimable downtown pizza joint, eat-in or takeaway, serving pizzas that won’t blow your creative mind – familiar versions of marinara, margherita, capricciosa, et cetera – but which are generous, not too heavy on the cheese, and unfailingly prompt. Add some candles, some red-and-white chequered tablecloths and some bentwood chairs, and this is fast food with ambience aplenty.

This local favorite is rustic and noisy, with professionals and university students engaging in enthusiastic conversation. The terrazzo-tile dining room is furnished with bare wooden tables and paper place-mat menus, which list traditional pizza and pasta dishes in two sizes—appetizer and entrée.

Prestigiously known as Amalfi’s, this classic establishment may not actually be overlooking the Amalfi Coast but is certainly worth all the buzz. With a menu thats stayed similar to their 35 years of operations in the heart of the CBD, their spinacci pizza will be hankering you to take any leftovers home for a sneaky late night bite.
