"I visited this place two years ago, and it was much better back then. The Buddha Verde pizza was good, but since the crust was so thin, it ended up feeling soggy rather than crispy. The service was quite slow—it took about 30 minutes for our food to arrive. That said, the place itself is beautiful. I wouldn’t recommend the tiramisu."

The service was excellent, very attentive and friendly. The food was excellent, the portions weren’t the biggest but the flavours were some of the best we’ve had. The roasted cauliflower was STUNNING, as were the cauliflower tiki and the ravioli. If we had time we would have been back."

Now its stars are the chicken tikki, the pizzas cooked in a wood oven, the pastas, the naan breads, the artisanal ham that is offered in snacks and the wide variety of craft beers. It is said that there were thirteen nuns who initially inhabited the Monastery of Santa Catalina, founded on September 10, 1579 by Doña María Guzmán, widow of Don Diego Hernández de Mendoza.

On our last night in Arequipa, we decided to have one last nice meal. Every time we walked by, there was a line out the door of 13 Monjas, so we decided we needed to see what the hype was about. Jacob and I both ordered steak, and overall, it was very good!
