Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Datanla Waterfall for its beautiful cascades and the exhilarating alpine coaster ride, which is a major highlight. The combination of natural scenery and adventure activities makes it a memorable stop. Some reviewers noted that the park can get crowded, and wished for more natural forest areas over man-made structures, but overall, it's considered a worthwhile addition to a Da Lat itinerary.
"This was my second time in Da Lat but my first visit to Datanla, and I truly enjoyed it! The scenery is relaxing, and the sound and view of the waterfalls were amazing. I also tried the alpine coaster, which was so much fun and made the experience even more memorable.
There were quite a lot of tourists during my visit, but it was still very enjoyable overall. I recommend booking your tickets online in advance—it makes entry hassle-free and very convenient."

"What an adventure we had at Datanla Falls, its not only about the natural beauty but also the thrill of getting there. If you’re taking the Alpine Coaster, I recommend opting for the long track it’s worth it. You pass through beautiful forested slopes and end up right at one of the most scenic waterfalls in Da Lat. We had a blast on it and was so much fun.
The views along the way are fantastic and the coaster adds a layer of excitement to the experience.
There are two main falls to see the second one (reachable via a shorter coaster ride or walk) features a huge King Kong statue which makes for a fun and unexpected photo stop. From there, you’ll find a mix of scenic bridges, wooden walkways, and tropical gardens that offer fantastic photo angles.
The first falls are more natural and powerful, with rock platforms and small viewing terraces perfect for photos or a short rest. There’s a clear path with steps surrounded by lush greenery, making the walk very enjoyable.
Both sites are clean, accessible, and well maintained. You can easily spend a few hours here if you include both falls and the coaster ride. A great mix of nature and fun definitely worth adding to your Da Lat trip.

"Nice place not too far from the city center for a bit of trekking—lol. I visited Datanla Waterfall, and at the time, they were offering a Zipline + Coaster combo for 1 million VND per person. Not exactly cheap, but a fun experience overall.
The zipline route is 1.5 km in total. The first stretch is 1 km, then you walk about 500 meters to the second zipline, which takes you to Waterfall 3.
The coaster starts and ends at Waterfall 3 or Parking area. If you want to visit Waterfalls 1 and 2, you’ll need to hike uphill a bit. They’re not super close, but not too far either. After exploring, you can walk back to the Coaster at Waterfall 3. With the combo, you can use coaster to go up (parking area), then if you still want to use the coaster to go down, can exchange the, kind of, receipt to another coaster ticket for free (round trip). By the way, you can ride the coaster alone, which is a nice option if you prefer a solo experience.
Be aware there’s another zipline and coaster option with a shorter distance which is cheaper and you may access from the main entrance.
Staff are friendly.
NOTE: if you want to actually see the waterfalls in their full beauty, don’t go during dry season - you will need a bit of rain for the best views (“water-fall”)."

The Thrill of the Alpine Coaster
It's important to note that the coaster operates from a specific point, often Waterfall 3, and can be used for both descent and ascent. Some visitors mention the option to ride alone, which is a plus for those who prefer a solo thrill. The experience is designed to be fun and safe, with staff present to ensure smooth operations.
While the coaster itself is a major draw, it's also a practical way to access the lower parts of the waterfall area without a strenuous hike. The journey down is often described as incredibly fun and a highlight of the Datanla visit, adding a significant layer of excitement to the natural scenery.
Exploring the Datanla Waterfalls
The second waterfall is notable for its unique feature: a large King Kong statue, which adds a playful and unexpected element to the natural setting. This spot is easily accessible, often via a shorter coaster ride or a walk from the main area. It provides a fun and memorable photo opportunity.
For the best visual impact of the waterfalls, visiting during the rainy season is highly recommended. During drier periods, the water flow might be less impressive, hence the advice to visit when there's been sufficient rainfall to truly appreciate the 'water-fall' in its full glory.
Activities and Adventure Options
Some visitors have reported combo packages that include both the zipline and the alpine coaster, offering a comprehensive adventure experience at a potentially better value. These packages can be a great way to maximize your visit and enjoy multiple adrenaline-pumping activities.
While these activities add excitement, it's worth noting that they come with an additional cost. Visitors should inquire about the latest pricing for zipline and coaster combos to make informed decisions about their budget and desired level of adventure.
