Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about the stunning visual spectacle of Nhat Tan Flower Garden, particularly during the Tet season with its iconic peach blossoms. The vibrant colors and the opportunity to witness local farming practices are frequently highlighted as major draws. While generally free to enter, some private farms may charge a small fee.

"The hotel makes a strong first impression. The lobby is beautiful, the breakfast buffet had plenty of choice, and the staff were all very kind and helpful.

Unfortunately, the rooms told a different story. Our first room smelled strongly of lemongrass, which seemed to cover an older, musty odor. The bathroom ceiling looked grey from mould, and the humidity was so heavy that the floor was damp by morning, with droplets forming on the ceiling in my sisters’ room.

When we returned later in the trip, our new room had visible mould on the headboard, ceiling, and even inside the air-conditioning unit. The bathroom had clearly been bleached, which shows some effort, but overall the conditions were still uncomfortable.

This hotel has real potential — the food, lobby, and staff all show what it could be — but the rooms need urgent attention."

"Location is good, Staff is polite but room which was alloted to me was smaller. Maybe you can add a bit of vegetarians Indian items for breakfast. Also guys Indian vegetarians do not eat eggs which you guys packed for me as a breakfast.
Overall it was good."

Yogendra Shukla

"Overall a very solid hotel in a central location of Hanoi. We had a little issue with our room upon check-in, which was promptly resolved, and we did not experience any other problems during our stay. When it was time to leave Vietnam, the staff kindly helped us print our boarding passes for the flight back home.

Overall, a very solid experience."

Seasonal Blooms and Tet Traditions

Nhat Tan Flower Garden is renowned for its spectacular seasonal flower displays. The most anticipated time to visit is around Tet (Vietnamese Lunar New Year), typically in late January or February. During this period, the garden bursts with iconic peach blossoms (hoa đào) and kumquat trees (cây quất), symbols of prosperity and good luck. Many locals visit to purchase these festive plants for their homes. Beyond Tet, the garden showcases a variety of other flowers depending on the season, including vibrant chrysanthemums in autumn and colorful roses and other local blooms throughout the year. The visual spectacle of these flower fields makes it a must-see destination for both locals and tourists. TikTok

Visiting during Tet can be a truly immersive cultural experience, offering a glimpse into Vietnamese traditions. However, be prepared for larger crowds during this festive period. The sheer volume of people wanting to capture the beauty of the Tet flowers means you'll need to be patient. If you prefer a more tranquil experience, consider visiting during the shoulder seasons when the flower displays are still impressive but the crowds are thinner. TikTok

Pro Tip: While the main garden areas are often free, some individual flower farms within Nhat Tan may charge a small entrance fee to access their meticulously cultivated plots. This fee usually grants you access to take photos within their specific flower displays.

Photography Paradise

For photographers, Nhat Tan Flower Garden is a dream come true. The vibrant colors and diverse floral arrangements provide endless opportunities for stunning shots. The golden hour – shortly after sunrise and before sunset – offers the most magical lighting conditions, casting a warm glow over the flowers and creating beautiful, soft shadows. TikTok

When planning your visit, consider bringing a wide-angle lens to capture the expansive flower fields and a telephoto lens for close-ups of individual blooms or portraits with the floral backdrop. Don't forget to explore the various sections of the garden; each farm might have a unique specialty or arrangement. Interacting with the local farmers tending to their crops can also lead to authentic and memorable photographs. TikTok

Remember: Be respectful of the flowers and the farmers' work. Avoid stepping on plants or disturbing the arrangements. If you're taking photos of people, it's always polite to ask for their permission first.
