What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Co Tien Mountain offers a rewarding hike with stunning city and coastal views, plus a unique 'Fairy Forest' at its base. While the trails can be slippery and require some scrambling, proper footwear and hydration make it manageable. It's a great natural escape within the city, though some find the ascent challenging.
"A beautiful hike in the city.
We started at 9am and it is was very hot, but there were 2-3 small shaded spots along the way to rest and rehydrate.
A small bit of scrambling needed for peak 2, but very safe and fun.
Even though the path was dry, there are some very smooth and slippery rocks, so we would recommend wearing hiking sandals or trainers at a minimum.
We completed all 3 peaks and returned in roughly 2 hours 15 mins.
We recommend a fresh coconut and juice at SEA cafe after to recover.
Happy Hiking!"

"A must if in NT! Hike is intermediate and is doable for beginners as long as you take your time and bring more than enough water! Don’t expect a well maintained path, a lot of loose rocks. Some parts you have to be on your hands. Use common sense with footwear. There are 2 ropes now at peak 2. A few months back some reported that a part of the rope was fraying. The ascent can be done without using it though. If 2 people use it at the same time, shifts in body weight can easily make you loose your balance / footing. I liked peak 3 the most, the ascent is more gradual and the scenery is really nice.
Tip: you can park your bike insude the coffee shop and borrow the shopper keepers hiking sticks. Apparently there are green poisonous snakes that are part of the local habitat! Make sure to return them when you’re down. Grab yourself a sugar cane juice with salted plum! It’s the best especially after the hike! Enjoy!"

"Great mountain for hiking, literally in the middle of the city. It doesn’t take too much time to reach the third peak, but it’s worth it. Just don’t wear slippers :)"
