"For a budget stay, this place was fine. Just put your expectations in line with somewhere for which you've paid $10 for a large double room, your own bathroom and a breakfast.
On the plus side, the room and bathroom had plenty of space, the bed was large, although not too comfy, AC worked well, there was a fridge and a window. Shower worked well and everything was clean. No real complaints about the room, although it felt quite damp, smelled a bit strange and the window just looked out on a brick wall.
Breakfast was very basic - an omelette, scrambled or fried eggs with bread (not toast), or a choice of cakes.
The lady behind the front desk was very nice. We booked a bus to Ninh Binh through the hotel which was comfy, spacious and arrived on time. Also rented a scooter through the hotel which didn't sound at all healthy and whilst driving the engine cut off once.
Between two people this room was really cheap, and it was a good base for us to explore the area. Whilst you shouldn't expect much, for a short, budget stay it served its purpose!"
