What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about Bai Tu Long Bay's breathtaking scenery and peaceful atmosphere, often preferring it over the more crowded Ha Long Bay. The natural beauty, tranquil waters, and opportunities for exploration like kayaking and cave visits are consistently praised. Some find the cruises to be on the pricier side, and transfer times from Hanoi can be long.
"Absolutely wonderful place, has to be done if visiting Vietnam. Came here for a one night cruise from Hanoi. Would review the tour, but cannot remember the name of the company. We came here instead of Ha Long, as it is a little quieter - don't be fooled mind, still a lot of boats doing the same tours. The scenery has to be seen to be believed. Stunning, a once in a lifetime experience. Visited the caves, and went kayaking as well. Only downside was that we couldn't go for a swim. Apparently the government have stopped this, something to do with jellyfish. Not convinced, more likely to do with the amount of pollution in the sea, caused by the sheer number of boats. Don't let this put you off though, it's amazing."
