What Travellers Say

Reviews Summary

Bac My An Market is a vibrant, authentic local market offering incredibly cheap produce and unique street food, especially the famous avocado ice cream. While some find the food selection varied in freshness and the clothing outdated, it's a great spot for budget travelers and foodies seeking a genuine Da Nang experience.

"I visited this market and found that the prices of fruits and vegetables are quite cheap compared to other markets. One highlight is that you can sit down and try avocado ice cream, which is worth a taste. However, I wouldn’t recommend trying food from some of the other stalls, as it didn’t look very fresh. A good tip is to buy only from the vendors with a lot of customer traffic, since that usually means better quality. As for clothing, the selection is very limited and feels old and outdated."

Personal Email

"The location of the market isn’t the best and is a bit far but is by far my favorite that I’ve visited in Da Nang so far. It’s got both an inside and outside section. The inside has mainly meats, fish slices, ready to go meals, sweets, etc. The outside has a ton of vegetables, fruits, flowers, and a seemingly Russian bakery.

I highly recommend getting the mini watermelons and mangoes as per kg (for watermelon) it’s VND 10,000 which I find to be a great price and coconut drinks for VND 15,000 which is extremely sweet. Great market to pass by if you’re in the area or to get fresh produce if you’re staying near."

Xoom Too

"Great selection of fruits and vegetables but most vendors do not have prices listed. As a foreigner I only buy when prices are listed or else you’ll get foreigner pricing. Some vendors list their prices and that is who got my business. Good place to walk around and check things out if you like open markets."
