Reviews Summary
Visitors describe the Malecón y Muelle de Puerto Colombia as a magical and peaceful paradise, especially during sunset. While the natural beauty and historical cannons are highly praised, some note that cleanliness can be an issue due to visitor numbers, urging for more mindful tourism.
"It's a paradise, a magical place. Being here gives you incredible peace. If you go during the town festivals, the vibe is on another level. Choroní is 100% magical."
Vanessa Raymond
"This is actually the Puerto Colombia Boulevard, but it's customarily called Choroní Boulevard. It was built facing the sea during the government of Marcos Pérez Jiménez. It features four cannons distributed along the wall, dating from the time of Venezuela's independence and rescued from the area. It has various trees, including guayacanes and almendrones, as well as other ornamental trees and planters. On one side is a wall that served as a base for the cranes used to move materials for the construction of the hydroelectric plant. It is currently used as a place of recreation and entertainment. It is an excellent viewpoint to enjoy a sunset."
Jorge Barrios-Montilla
"The surrounding area is a bit dirty, presumably due to the number of visitors. Hopefully, tourists will be more mindful of helping to keep places clean so that foreign visitors leave with a positive impression of our country."
