What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Playa Solanas is appreciated for its beautiful views, calm waters, and stunning sunsets, making it a tranquil spot. However, some visitors have encountered issues with jellyfish, pollution, and management of water sports rentals, leading to frustrating experiences.
"Worst beach in Punta del Este, the ocean is full with massive jellyfish that roam the shore and beach. The beach is polluted by the fellow people. There is no sign indicating how to get to the place where you rent aqua vehicles. When we went to go on the Banana boat, they told us there was a 30 minutes wait and we reserved a time to go on the boat, once we came back they told us the cord of the banana boat had broken and they told us their would be a 40 minute wait and that we would be the first ones to go on the boat, once we came back, again at the exact time they had told us, they told us two groups were ahead of us, we left that beach faster than a cheetah. My experience of this place was horrendous, I do not recommend this place to anyone. I tell the truth and only the truth."

"Beautiful views but very windy. Recommend for family during good weather"

"Pathetic management. Such a beautiful place completely ruined by humans. Lots of jelly fish and dirt. We went to ride the banana boat and they got us waiting 1 hour to tell us that an extra hour was needed. Also, extremely expensive."
