"My family held my mom's memorial service here in 2021. The pastor leading it, while on stage with a mic, looked me in the eyes and told me it was ok because my mom was alive. I don't care that this is seen as good in this religion, it's disgusting to tell a grieving child that. Thing is, my family took it upon themselves to inform him I was a not religious, very kind of them. He saw it as a challenge apparently. I think about this moment very often and I know for that pastor, it was just another day. Nothing can erase that memory."
