What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the Hudson River Museum for its diverse and engaging exhibits, particularly the historic Glenview Mansion and the captivating planetarium shows. Many highlight the beautiful river views and the family-friendly atmosphere, with free concerts being a notable favorite. While generally well-received, some find certain art sections less compelling compared to the mansion and planetarium.
"Very enjoyable, lovely exhibits that covered a variety of artistic approaches. Educational and not overwhelming. The planetarium seemed to have a nice program for children along with a scavenger hunt. Nicely spaced out so it wouldn't seem crowded even if there were many visitors. And the view of the Hudson River is wonderful"

"This was my second time here. First time I came with my friend and our children to visit a Frida Khalo exhibit on display and it was beautiful. This time my friend invite me for a free concert in the amphitheater. We had such a great time and again their staff was lovely. The amphitheater is outdoors, staff provides you with cushions for comfortable seating. The concert lasted for about and hour and half. There was dancing and singing very family friendly. You could tell everyone was having a great time. I can’t wait to visit here again. This place will probably end up becoming one of my favorite museums."

"We passed by the museum from the Glenwood station and was amazed by the open view of the riverside. The Glenview Mansion view is quite fascinating too - especially in front of the lawn
The rest pales in comparison and is a typical art museum with paintings and sculptures connected to a tad of science."
