Visitors appreciate the clean facilities and the park's role as a community event hub. However, parking can be challenging during peak times, and seating is sometimes limited, prompting recommendations to bring personal blankets or chairs.
"Wilmot Gateway Park in Woodenville is a gem for families!
It is one of our favorite local parks. The playground is well-designed and has something for every age group—from toddler-friendly slides to more adventurous climbing structures for older kids. My little one especially loved the swing, and I appreciated the soft, rubberized ground that made me feel more at ease as they ran around.
There are plenty of shaded picnic tables and grassy spots. The restrooms were clean (huge plus!), and the park connects to the Sammamish River Trail, which gave us the chance to take a little walk after playtime.
Parking was a bit limited right by the park, but we found plenty of space across the street at the sports fields. It’s such a peaceful, well-maintained space that feels tucked away yet still central.
If you’re a parent looking for a safe, fun, and relaxing spot to take your kids, Wilmot Gateway Park is definitely worth the visit!"

"We usually come here on weekends, and the park tends to be crowded. The playground is great for kids ages 4–14. However, there are only a few tables and benches, so seating can be limited. I recommend bringing a blanket or camping chairs—there’s plenty of grassy space around the play area."

"My daughter loves this park. (She is 2) There is equipment for smaller kids and some really cool stuff for bigger kids than we look forward to growing into. There were always a few kids playing but it wasn't too crazy, so not fighting over swings and such."
