"The Settlemier House is a beautiful historical home open for tours. We could tell that the volunteers really cared about the home and the stories behind it. We were so excited to finally catch them during their only day of operation: the first Sunday of the month! It was well worth the time and the price was very affordable! The home is steeped in history and beautiful furnishings. Much of it kept very original to the period! I have a feeling they are always looking for great volunteers with heart, as it sounded like they really would Love to have the home open to visitors more often than the one Sunday a month. With the low admission price, donations are gladly accepted. Be sure to search out the three and five generation hair wreaths! Yes they used hair savers, and then they wove and twisted the "saved" hair into beautiful wreaths! I didn't post all the treasures that I saw in our visit! Talk about arts and crafts! You'll be so happy you went! 🩷💛"
