Reviews Summary
Visitors appreciate Rocky Arbor State Park for its tranquil atmosphere and convenient location near the Wisconsin Dells, offering a peaceful escape. The unique sandstone formations and towering pines are a highlight, and it's considered a great value for camping. Some find the trails could be better maintained and note the presence of mosquitos and occasional highway noise.
"This is our second time to this state park. We like the convenience of being able to slip away from the busy Dells to have a picnic lunch or stretch our legs. Therr is a nature trail that we did not utilize. The park doesnt have much, some swings, a slide (that was out of order) and a rock climbing wall, but it is enough to spark a little excitement. The true excitement came this last time when we found the coolest mushrooms and a little trail to a cave right behind the bathrooms."

"Not much here. I drove in. Signs talking about ticks. A spot saying trails but didn't really look like much.
I thought the trees 🌳 looked pretty sweet though. Never seen trees so thin so monstersly tall.
After driving in. Looking around I left. Certainly didn't look like much to hike through. The rest of the park had spots for camping.
This is right next to Wisconsin Dells so probably a cheaper alternative to hotels in the area."

"We hiked the trail at Rocky Arbor, which was just over a mile in length. It was not very busy on a Saturday at 8am. Part of the trail was a bit muddy and slightly overgrown, but it was very nice on higher ground. Some stair cases on the trail (careful with a couple boards rotting), one short incline, and there were a lot of mosquitos and traffic from the highway can be heard. Pretty rock formations and trees to look at. There are picnic tables as well as a pavilion, pit toilets, and a playground."
