What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Jacob's Well Natural Area for its unique geological beauty and the serene hiking trails. Many appreciate the educational gardens and the opportunity for outdoor exploration, even when swimming is not possible. However, the frequent inability to swim due to low water levels and the strict no-pet policy are common points of disappointment.
"We were so sad that the water levels were such that no swimming was allowed, but still a beautiful place to visit. I definitely recommend hydrating well beforehand and taking some water with you as it doesn't take long on the trails to get overheated. If you're going to visit, know that no family pets are allowed on the trails or at the well. Even though you can't swim there's still some fun stuff for the family to do. They have a natural human sun dial, a meditation walk, an area for kids to build and use their imagination with various pipes etc, and then plenty of beautiful sites to see and take photos. I hope to visit again when water levels are restored one day and take the family swimming at Jacob's Well!"

"Jacob’s Well Natural Area is worth a trip! Short hike to the Well but wear sturdy shoes. I took a free outdoor yoga class (last one) but hoping they’ll offer again next summer. There’s quite a bit to explore on the property!"
Sammi McKenzie
"Beautiful park. Do plan ahead and buy tickets to swim if you want to swim. Information is on the brochure posted. The garden and labyrinth were highlights also. Everyone was very friendly and helpful."
