"Such a peaceful and refreshing spot!

"Very simple parking area with handicap accessible ramp up to the nature center. The center itself had several rooms. One filled with preschooler nature themed matching games, dominoes, and puzzles, while another had a puppet show area filled with many nature themed puppets. There's also a calm bird watching room with multiple kid sized binoculars and we were able to spot several native birds in the short time we spent inside. They also have several live native animals like eastern painted turtles and different local snakes and frogs inside on display. There were several walking trails outside with historic buildings as well as a trail leading directly to the gardens."
Nikki Grove
"While paved paths soak the heat on hot summer days, the dirt trails around the nature center are shaded and peaceful. Stay on the trails and watch out for the poison ivy. Some parts of the trail are smooth and well maintained. You've got to be careful along other parts of the trail where there are roots and rocks that you could trip over while you're looking up to admire the beautiful tall trees."
