What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
West Palm Beach Station serves as a key transit point, with Brightline offering a modern and efficient travel experience, while Tri-Rail provides a budget-friendly alternative. Users appreciate the affordability of Tri-Rail and the convenience of Brightline for reaching Miami. However, Tri-Rail has faced criticism for punctuality issues and safety concerns, particularly at night.
"Took my first ride on the tri rail yesterday 5/11, there are a lot of homeless people that roam this station( its a wpb thing for some reason not just in the station but all around the area), if you are a female, I suggest you have someone wait for you until you get on the train... especially at night. There was a total of 3 securities however they were only on one side (southbound), make sure you stick and seat near people that resemble your persona if you know what I mean and you will be fine. There are bathrooms in the train but no bathrooms in the station. Compared to the brightline, there is more frequent stops and the trip from west palm to miami is an additional 30 minutes, although time passed by pretty fast. The good thing is that the ticket is ONLY $5, YES $5. While brightline wanted $56 for the one-way trip......You get about 3-5 minutes to get off at your station so be prepared and gather your belongings. Bicycles are allowed on board, first come first serve parking, I believe they have up to 14 spaces. Overall if you are on a budget, it isn't bad, but not the safest environment."

"As an airline employee, this was a nice alternative to getting to Miami. We flew into PBI but sadly found out the shuttle to the tracks (station) was not running. We had to take a Lyft for $12. Once we arrived we were able to use our credit card to purchase paper tickets from the kiosk. $5 flat rate on the weekend. There are luggage racks on the train. A/C was nice. We took the Southbound train on Track 1. About a 2 hour trip. Train also goes by FLL."

"At night it could be considered an unsafe place but I really like going there, it's my favorite place and I'm also a railfan, I like it a lot and it makes me nostalgic too.
I like tri rail maybe things can inprove a little bit, like the bathroom or other stuff but overall it is a good company"
