Reviews Summary

Visitors often praise Cottonport Historic District for its authentic antique finds and the knowledgeable, honest dealers, particularly for coin collectors. The area offers a charming glimpse into Monroe's past with unique local items. However, some shoppers have encountered less friendly service, suggesting a variable customer experience.

"Since I've begun coin collecting I have been trying to find a local place that is not only diverse and the coins that they might have but also educated and honest I have found all of that and so much more here not only did I spend the better part of 2 hours talking with this gentleman about the different coins and their value but he gave me a excellent deal so excellent in fact that I immediately came back the next time I was in the area so I recommend this to anybody who wants to see any antiques coins or just old historical stuff give this gentleman your business he deserves it"

Julian “Michael” Oglesby

"I deal with the owner, Mr Ben Cooper on an almost daily basis. He is a fair and honest man who has been in the business for a while. He knows his antiques. If you are selling stuff Ben @ Cotton Port Antique mall, and Bruce @ Trenton St Antiques are masters of their field. Check out their shops and buy some of the best items from Monroe's colorful historic past."

Thomas Bodnar

"Waste of time and took some penny’s in there and he wanted me to show him what I had instead of him telling me what I had. I had to point out my own and it did me no good and I don’t recommend anyone to bring any coins to the Monroe or west Monroe area period if you have any of value because they just want you to give them to them for nothing so they can make a killing off of them prob and laugh at you later. There’s very few people that have a small business in that type of business that are honest these days anyways so becareful who you choose to do business with. If your gut feeling isn’t right then go with it because it happens for a reason."
