"I've been going to the Whiskey periodically for decades now and I always feel like I'm in an historic place...an historic music venue where usually I'm seeing new or lesser known bands, right on the same stage, in the same space where the most famous, legendary bands ever have performed. It's mind-blowing and epic to think about seeing my son's friend's high school band, rocking their instruments where The Doors and Led Zeppelin played.
We were there for a mix of bands, headlined by Tommy Tutone (famous for the 80's hit 867-5309 / Jessie.) We had purchased bar stool seats on the upper level and were upgraded to an against the rail table which gave us a perfect and unobstructed view of the stage in an essentially tiny venue where anywhere you are will be a good place to be to see the bands.
We enjoyed the variety of bands who played. The drinks we got were fine and I was happy that they had an Impossible patty available for their burger option.
The bar staff were super-nice and accommodating. I'm looking forward to going back and dwelling in that historic space again soon."
