"Stopped because this was on our way home. Really liked it and learned a lot about Hoover. My prior knowledge came from 7th grade history and consisted of him being blamed for the Great Depression. So much more accomplished! Inspired me to purchase a biography to learn more. Definitely worth your time, and just a beautiful place to have lunch!"

"Despite the presidential library being closed the site was still fascinating. Felt like I was stepping into a bit of what Hoover experienced with the grounds there with the birth home, tall grass fields, and surrounding historic buildings nearby. I flew out to Iowa to specifically see this on a quest to see the grave site of every president. The gravesite was nice and solemn. However one thing I was not prepared for was the bugs! Small gnats everywhere. If you go near late May beware. They very much ruined my experience. Obviously nothing the site itself can control but I could not escape them no matter what I did. Wear bug spray! I would’ve but didn’t know to be aware of that issue headed into it"
