"As a resident of Watkinsville , Georgia, for several years, we’ve always visited our go-to park, the Veterans Park. However, I was pleasantly surprised by this new park, and I absolutely loved it. It’s a fantastic spot to take my three dogs for a walk, and they had a great time. What I loved the most were the benches along the path, which are perfectly designed so that you can sit and enjoy a stunning view of the sunset. It’s truly beautiful."

"PROS:
-variety of landscapes (see pics), -ease of parking with 2 lots,
-free entrance!
-beautifies Watkinsville as you drive in from Athens
-lively and lovely human activity (picnics, gatherings, dog walkers joggers, fishing, etc..),
-accessible to all,
-not entirely flat (has some relief), -nice rotation of gravel/ trail and pavement,
-lake appeal for quick walk,
-multiple shortcuts for different & adjustable routes
-can't hear traffic anywhere (unless you're near the entrance),
-will soon connect Watkinsville DT via a trail, yeah!!
-clean and well-maintained,
-walking and resting are encouraged as benches are everywhere, nice!
-frequent trashcans for doggy waste,
-has 2 clean dog-parks,
-the space is perfect to catch up with your friends: see picnic tables, airondike chairs, vistas, etc...!⛱️⛱️
CONS:
-dogparks are way too small for large running dogs,
-one loop around the park will only give you 2.5 miles max (unless you take the dirt trails all around)
-avoid peak hours and lake trail as it gets crowded (go towards the back of the park and go at unpopular hours if you have a rowdy or reactive dog)"
