The natural scenery, especially in spring and fall, and the chance to see wildlife like baby bunnies are significant draws. While generally positive, some note the presence of ticks off the path and limited parking.
"9/23/24- I am 60 and had a great time walking this trail. I only did one mile to and from. It's a nice clean trail with lots of green on both sides of the trail.
I saw a few others walking the trail. All of them keep to themselves but they'll smile.
It took me about one hour and I am not a regular walker. If you are pressed for time but want to walk a trail this is not far away. You can see and hear the HWY from the trail.
Enjoy the fall leaves!"

"It's a nice wide trail often busy with families biking, pet owners walking their dogs, people jogging or walking. It offers a lot of pretty views in the fall and spring.
Most of the the dog owners clean up their messes but some don't and if you go off the paved road make sure to wear long pants and boots and maybe not take your pet. We did and ended up with a few ticks which with nature is expected but just a heads up.
Bikes are considerate of walker and so are dog walkers. It's a good environment with healthy fresh air!!"

"Currently the Northern terminus of Wallingford's linear trail. Parking for about a dozen cars. The trail is well maintained and not overly crowded. Good linear trail for younger children since there are many high speed cyclists.
Please take note that this lot is accessed across private property of a condo association. It is permitted to drive to and park in this lot, but the association does not wish people to walk or ride bikes across their property for liability reasons."
